JoinLottoPool.com Rules and Regulations

JoinLottoPool.com is a provider of lottery services to persons who wish to participate in the Multi-State Mega Millions Drawing offered by the following states: New Jersey, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, New York, Ohio, Texas, Washington State and California.

Our services are not associated with the any of the state operated lottery or New Jersey Lottery Administration (NJLA), who operates Mega Millions, but are separate services offered by just JoinLottoPool.com.

JoinLottoPool.com acts as an agent for persons who wish to share ownership of Mega Millions Lottery tickets with other persons by pooling their money and sharing the ticket ownership and any winnings.

As an agent for each person, JoinLottoPool.com provides the following services: JoinLottoPool.com will use the Quick Pick feature to select the numbers to be purchased for each lottery ticket, locates other persons wishing to pool their money, assigns each person to the numbers that will be purchased, sends a Confirmation Email to each person listing the numbers for all the tickets in their PowerPool that will be purchased for each drawing date that they will be sharing with other persons, purchases the lottery tickets on behalf of each person, stamps the back of each ticket designating JoinLottoPool.com as agent for the persons sharing the tickets, checks each ticket for winnings, maintains ownership records for each person, sends a Monthly Member Statement to each person after the last drawing of their selection listing the results of each drawing, and oversees the collection and distribution of all winnings. The cost of these services as well as the cost of the tickets is included in the price of each JoinLottoPool.com membership.

JoinLottoPool.com creates a lottery pool with a guarantee of at least 100 members, which are offered through its’ Membership Registration form. When you submit your Monthly Membership Fee of $20.00, you will have 1 share of a pool of at least 100 members for at least 8 (depending on the number of drawings for the month) consecutive drawings. Therefore, each member would own 1/number of members of the pool and they would receive 1/number of members of the winnings. Since the final number of pool members is not determined until the closing of the membership for the month, an email will be sent to all members stating the final number of members and the corresponding winning share per member.

The cost of a single Membership represents a single share. A member can purchase multiple membership thus maximizing a member's chance at winning. For example, a person can purchase two memberships, in which case the member would increase their proportionate share of the winnings to two (2) 1/number of members.

All the numbers that a person owns jointly are listed on the Confirmation Email that is sent to them and these numbers are also available online for review in the Member Area.

New Jersey law currently prohibits ticket purchases by persons under the age of 18. Members have up to one year after their last play to use or claim the balance in their account and claims can be made over the telephone. A check will be issued within 10 days. Balances not claimed after one year will revert to JoinLottoPool.com.

If a person’s payment for a JoinLottoPool.com Membership is returned or rejected by the bank or merchant processor, all claims to any ticket ownership and winnings WILL BE FORFEITED and a $15.00 charge may be assessed. PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE RESUBMITTED AND TICKET OWNERSHIP CANNOT BE RECLAIMED. If time and/or workload permits,JoinLottoPool.com will attempt to contact the person whose membership payment was returned or rejected to see if they want to re-order a new membership, however, under no circumstances will JoinLottoPool.com be responsible for a person missing any lottery drawings because of a returned or rejected payment. It is up to each person to make sure that they have the funds available and that JoinLottoPool.com has the correct account number, expiration date, or any other pertinent information.

If, due to an unforeseen event, JoinLottoPool.com does not purchase lottery tickets for a particular drawing, JoinLottoPool.com will have the option of providing a proportionate credit or refund, provide additional chances, i.e., an additional night of drawings, or make a substitution with chances from another lottery game. Such events might include, but are not limited to the following: The lottery machines are not functioning properly, the New Jersey Lottery has modified or eliminated a game that directly affects the person’s selection, or some other error or omission occurs which results in JoinLottoPool.com not purchasing lottery tickets for a particular drawing. JoinLottoPool.com’s liability resulting from any of the above or any other errors, omissions, or other occurrences shall be limited to a refund of the fee that was paid. Prices, selections, bonuses, and any and all terms of the service are subject to change.
